MONSTRESS is about the filipino cryptid, the Manananggal — A succubus vampire in the lore of the archipelago. This immersive experience places you as a curious adventurer at The Manananggal Jungle, a live exhibit where the ZOE Foundation has captured this beautiful, rare, and dangerous creature to preserve its history and legacy. .
This show is designed for small batch audiences and features an innovative fusion of live and digital performance, dance, technological wizardry, and atmospheric and sensory immersion. We’ve assembled the best designers, technicians, and performers the DMV has to offer to create this fantastical world. From lighting, to costumes, to scenery, and everything in between, our team has been hard at work dreaming the Manananggal Jungle into existence.
